Supplying bottle-fed and plumbed-in water coolers to offices and homes around the UK it has always been a natural link for us to support Pump Aid and its founder Ian Thorpe and we are pleased that we in 2009 have been able to strengthen our relationship even further.

Thirsty Planet raises over £1 million for Pump Aid

posted Thursday, 17 December 2009

At the end of August there was an almighty cheer in the Thirsty Planet offices when the running total on our web site clicked over into seven figures as we raised our first £1 million pounds for Pump Aid. It’s a brilliant achievement at a time when the bottled water industry is suffering because of the recession, three poor summers in a row and the tap water versus bottled water debate that has erupted in the media. But Thirsty Planet has gathered some loyal supporters and we continue to increase sales by persuading more supermarkets and schools, cafes and council departments, among others, to stock our water which guarantees help for communities in Africa with every sale.
