Be part of a unique show by Corinne Bailey Rae and raise money for Pump Aid

Missed out on tickets for Corinne Bailey Rae’s exclusive gig at the Tabernacle, London, on 23 November?  Post your bid on ebay now for a pair of tickets donated by Corinne to raise funds for Pump Aid to mark its 10th anniversary.

The hottest ticket in town, the show sold out within hours.  So this is your final opportunity to be one of the first to experience some of the brand new songs from Corinne’s hotly-anticipated second album, ‘The Sea’, which is released in February.  Read more here http://www.corinnebaileyrae.net/signup.php. Not only that, you’ll be supporting Pump Aid and its work with rural communities in Africa.  As goodwill ambassador for Pump Aid, Corinne experienced its work first hand during a recent trip to Malawi.

She says “Pump Aid has come up with no-fuss and cost-effective solutions to two of the biggest problems in southern Africa.  Having disease-free water and a private and hygienic place to go to the toilet – things we take for granted – are basic human rights and help people take the first step out of poverty.”

An Elephant pump, which costs around £500 to construct, can give a community of 250 people 40 litres of water a day for 50 years, while a toilet can serve half a dozen families for twenty years at a cost of just £20.  For further information about Pump Aid or to make a donation please go to www.pumpaid.org
