As the days are getting warmer and summer is just around the corner, the flowers were blooming in Bournemouth last week! The students and staff of Arts University Bournemouth did a fantastic job raising money for Pump Aid through their plant sale at the campus. The local nursery, MacPennys in Hampshire generously donated plants and flowers for the students and staff to sell and raise money to support Pump Aid’s work.
We are proud of everyone who took part in this event. The proceeds will help pay towards the vital water pump maintenance and repair training for the communities in rural Malawi. Maintenance training is fundamental to our pump programme so the communities understand how to use and fix the water pumps so they can become self reliant for the future.
Remember when you’re next near the New Forest to take a visit to MacPenny’s for a wander in their Woodland, pick up a rare plant or just enjoy a cuppa in their tearoom!
