One Day’s Wages launches 1st February

Posted on: December 20, 2016

Pump Aid is delighted to announce that we have been successful in becoming a charity partner for One Day’s Wages who will support Pump Aid’s efforts to bring clean water, sanitation and hygiene to three Community Based Childcare Centres (CBCCs) in Malawi.

Over 75% of CBCCs (similar to preschools) don’t have access to clean water and safe toilets, which means attendance is low and children miss out on the opportunity to grow healthy and develop.

One Day’s Wages (ODW) promotes awareness, encourages simple giving, and supports sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organisations in developing regions. ODW hope to inspire people around the world to donate their one day’s wages, and then to renew that pledge monthly, quarterly or yearly–or to start campaigns with a cause by donating their birthday, one day of work, or numerous other ideas–to the cause of alleviating extreme global poverty. ODW are supporting Pump Aid with a matching grant and Pump Aid has a target of nearly $18,000 to raise over the campaign period which One Day’s Wages will then match. Your support will change the lives of nearly 400 children.

The campaign launches on the 1st of February. In the meantime you can follow Pump Aid on Facebook and Twitter and look out for updates, videos and news. Subscribe to our free monthly Newsletter to receive the latest updates: Subscribe here.
