World Toilet Day: 19th November

Posted on: October 19, 2016

What’s it all about?
When we think of a toilet we have the usual image in mind; somewhere to sit, a clean surface, four walls, a working flush, running water. We reach the 21st Century yet 1 in 3 people across the world still live without these basics. The Sustainable Development Goals state that by 2030 everyone should have access to safe water and a toilet. We think communities shouldn’t have to wait that long.

What is Pump Aid doing?
Thanks to your support over the last year we’ve provided safe sanitation to over 10,000 people. And that’s just the beginning. Pump Aid trains local leaders to promote and improve hygiene behaviour to ensure lasting change. Will you help us reach even more this year? World Toilet Day is the 19th November and we’d like you to take part in the discussions and share our messages.

What can you do?
