Pump Aid has received some significant press interest and admiration for our work. Along with being chosen as the Times charity of the year 2008, our CEO Ian Thorpe spoke on CNN and our Ambassador Corinne Bailey-Rae voiced the BBC radio appeal which raised some huge support for Pump Aid.
Pump Aid was chosen as the UK charity partner for Live Earth 2010 in December 2009 and since then we have been flooded with interest from celebrities who want to champion the work of Pump Aid and help combat the global water crisis.
From Coronation street favourite Kym Marsh, to across the Atlantic with Jessica Beil and Pete Wentz. We are thrilled to have everyone on board for the Dow Live Earth Run for Water event in April.
We have also proudly received some prestigious design awards. In May 2008, our Elephant Toilet scooped the St Andrews Prize for the Environment, which we also won in 2005 for the Elephant Pump!
